Golf Schools
Golf School's provide a rare opportunity to blend a sociable
golfing break with expert tuition from one of the UK’s most
respected golf teachers.
Gary Pike who is a PGA Advanced Professional and a former David
Leadbetter trained Senior Instructor, has coached and lectured
on the golf swing worldwide also published over 100 articles on
the golf swing, Gary is currently an Essex Senior County Coach
and has coached professionals on all of the major European Tours
also has been awarded his advanced professional status for his
achievements in coaching. Whether you are a raw beginner or a
scratch play, working with Gary for a week is a unique opportunity
to develop your game in all areas of: Full Swing, Putting, Pitching,
Mind and Game management.
Gary and Marion have carefully designed all their
Golf Schools at various venues. The Golf Schools are strictly
limited to 12 pupils to ensure maximum attention from Gary, They
start at nine each morning until lunchtime, then in the afternoon,
you will have the chance to put your new found skills and understanding
into practise playing on the excellent resort courses.
Each destination is slightly different so it is important that
you read the itineraries for the one that suits you the most.
Typically they have a farewell gala dinner on the Friday evening
provides a chance to say goodbye to new found friends. Although
some schools have more evening meals included and some with wine
all have a cocktail party at some point through your week.
The mild climate and welcoming surroundings provided
, not to mention Marion's excellent organisational skills, means
that these Golf School's are fun, relaxing and extremely popular.

Le Meridien
Penina Golf School
Situated on Portugal's spectacular southern
coast, the 5 star Le Meridian Penina Golf Resort is located
between the traditional fishing port of Portimao and the
historic town of Lagos. Located in the Algarve region, and
close to the lovely town of Alvor there is a harbour where
you can enjoy fresh fish and then stroll along the unspoilt
beach.
The Gary Pike Golf Academy has been visiting the Penina
Resort for the last 10 years. The facility can only be described
as superb, having been completely renovated in 2008. There
is a large practice tee, short game areas and one of the
best putting greens in the world.
The three courses go towards making this an ideal venue
for students of all standards. The Sir Henry Cotton championship
course has hosted the Portuguese Open on numerous occasions
and the oldest course on the Algarve. The Resort course
nine holes with two sets of tees far more user friendly
than the Championship Course and if you are completely new
to golf there is the Academy Course winding its way around
the estate, and it features 6 par 3 holes and 3 par 4 holes.
The Hotel has also been refurbished in 2008 and the rooms
are beautifully appointed, with all of the facilities you
might expect from a 5 star hotel, turndown service, satellite
TV, WI fi, bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer etc.
The standard rooms overlook the hills
at the back of Penina whilst the upgrade pool side room
overlook the pool and the championship golf course.
Dinning in Penina is always excellent breakfast is taken
in the Sagres buffet style and during the day lunch at the
Sir Henry Cotton bar. Of an evening either back to the Sagres
for the themed buffet or for a la carte the Grill Room is
a must experience. The L` Arelecchino Restaurant serves
Italian cuisine and a la carte is also available at certain
times of year.

staff, they always make our and our guests stay here a memorable
occasion"

Day 1 AM: Video Filming, swing analysis and instruction
PM: Technical putting and how to practise. Golf on Resort
Course Evening; A welcome dinner including wine.
Day 2 AM: On the range, around the green short game skills,
coaching drills and practise,
PM:Golf on the Championship Course
Day 3 AM: Game & Mind Management,
coaching drills and practise, reading greens and distance
control. PM: Play on the Championship course with Gary Evening;
Dinner including wine
Day 4 AM: On the range, around the green short game skills
coaching drills and practise, chipping, PM: Golf on the
Resort Course
Day 5 AM: On the range, Bunker play coaching drills and
practise,
PM: Golf on the Resort Course
Day 6 AM: Re filming at the end of a weeks practise.
PM; Golf on the Championship Course
Evening; A farewell cocktail party and gala dinner including
wine
Day 7 Return to UK after a great
fun weeks golf.
Price includes– 7 nights accommodation on bed and breakfast
basis, farewell cocktail party and final dinner with wine
, 2 half board evening meals including wine and coffee,
return airport transfers, 6 rounds of golf, use of academy
with practise balls, daily tuition. Based on two people
sharing a twin room. Flights not included.
