Why not join us for a week in the Portuguese Algarve playing two premier courses in what I am sure will be a week to remember with a fabulous first prize to play for and individual & team prizes too? Staying at the world famous 5* Le Meridien Penina Resort & Spa, there will be four rounds of competition golf with three rounds on the Sir Henry Cotton Championship Course, and one round on the nearby spectacular San Lorenzo Golf Course.

Penina has hosted the Portuguese Open on eight occasions. A beautiful parkland par 73 layout designed in 1965 by the legendary three times Open Champion Sir Henry Cotton and largely considered his masterpiece. The value here is placed on long iron play with large undulating greens and wide fairways making this championship layout enjoyable for every golfer.

San Lorenzo, once rated no 2 in Europe, is spectacularly beautiful, overlooking in part the Rio Formosa nature reserve. The famous 18th is probably the most photographed hole in Europe. Designed by renowned architect Joseph Lee and opened in 1988, full advantage has been taken of the undulating pine woodland and spectacular views over the Rio Formosa with several holes running alongside the estuary giving spectacular challenges from the tee.

During the Festival week we have arranged a cocktail party to meet your fellow competitors, a Welcome Dinner with wine and a Gala Dinner with wine following the prize giving on the final night. We have also arranged a visit to Quinta do Morgado da Torre, a local wine estate, where they produce some excellent wines which we will have a chance to sample (and purchase) as we have requested a private wine tasting for us there.

During the week European Tour Coach and Advanced PGA Golf Professional Gary Pike will entertain you with his mind coaching presentation on the range and a putting clinic on the top putting green.

• 13/3 Sunday Day at leisure or an opportunity for a practice round at Penina (not part of package but can be arranged in advance)

• 14/3 Monday Penina Championship Team event best two scores from four
  
• 15/3 Tuesday Penina Championship Round (1) individual Stableford
  
• 16/3 Wednesday AM at leisure. PM wine tasting & canapés at Quinta do Morgado
  
• 17/3 Thursday San Lorenzo Round (2) of the individual Stableford
  
• 18/3 Friday Penina 4 ball better ball. Prize giving & Gala Dinner this evening
  
• 19/3 Saturday Check out and transfer to Faro airport for homeward flights
